That’s a screen shot of my MacBook Pro – Running Microsoft Access without the help of parallels all care of Codeweaver’s Cross Over Mac program.  It’s still in Beta (which is free for 60 days) and right now you can pre-order it for only $40.  There are some programs that won’t run (namely Libronix DLS in my case) but its run all my favorite windows apps seamlessly.  Check them out http://www.codeweavers.com/

The fastest PC or Mac I’ve ever used…

Yesterday I got the last major piece of my new computer – a 1 GB RAM upgrade from crucial.  My MacBook Pro now has 1.5 GB of RAM and I am now able to use it as it was always intended.  One of the biggest pluses to the new intel-based macs is their ability to be truly dual-platform thanks to Parallels Desktop.  Now I can truly have the best of both words – a fully functional and really fast Windows 2000 PC (complete with 512 MB of RAM and a 20 GB Hard Drive) and a Mac…  this is like a geek’s heaven.

Blogging from a Mac…

My reconversion is beginning, this morning I got my new MacBook Pro that I’ll be using for work.  I was a full-time mac user years ago (back when the PowerPC was a new technology, rather than something that has just recently been replaced) and then switched when I went to college and through seminary.  However, the time to return to my first love and begun….
