tried the 720p60 from 1080i60 and it looks good. I use a canon hv30. In fact, I’m wondering if it doesn’t look better than shooting in 30p. Any thoughts on that?
1080p30 vs 720p60 all comes down to one’s preference for motion vs. detail. I prefer the smooth-motion effect created by 720p, especially since with compression I think the added detail allowed for by 1080p gets lost. But I’m doing something that is low motion then I use 1080p30 so I can bypass post-processing immediately.
