Evangelism

One of the problems with evangelism as far as I see it is that too often it comes across (whether it is intended to so or not really matters for nothing) as “Join us, accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, because we’ve got it figured out”.

What if we approached Evangelism like this, “Look, we’re trying to follow Jesus and we admit we’re not very good at it.  Do you think you could help us out?”  After all, Jesus didn’t say “accept me into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior” he said, “follow me”.

    hi,

jesus asked you to worship the One & Only God (Lord); he never asked you to worship his own self. simply said, if they truly follow Jesus, it will be:

–> Jesus worship One & Only God
–> they worship One & Only God

    –> Jesus don’t worships Jesus
    –> they don’t worship Jesus

that’s my piece, about following Jesus. if you don’t do whatever Jesus do, doing exactly what he didn’t do, how is that following him? all & all, just get ur hands up in the air — & ask the One & Only God, the God Jesus worships, for guidance.

i seek refuge in God, 🙂

    Interesting, but two comments.

First, it is quite clear that Jesus was regarded as being God himself present among humanity and in creation. After all, he forgave sins which only God can do.

Second, where does the historic doctrine of the Trinity factor into your understanding of Jesus and God?
